We went to see the new Tentacles exhibit at Monterey Bay Aquarium!
Antique octopus art.
A coconut octopus, seeking protection in a jar.
Nautiluses. Nautili? I never really thought about how they move or that they move at all.
There were a couple of giant Pacific octopuses, and we joked that they took shifts. One would be suckered up against the window, resting. The other gave us a great show, swimming and waving his tentacles.
Cuddle-fish! SwingDaddy says they are cuttlefish, but I insist that cuddle-fish is much cuter.
I was well behaved and didn't bring anything home from the gift store.
We stopped to see the Jellies exhibit as well.
The play area featured sea-life costumes.
And plush moray eels. When the kids tug on the "eels," they pull out to show how long they get.
Boys in shells.
