SwingDaddy and I, my sister and her husband had a night out at The Book of Mormon tonight. What a blast!
I saw it in New York with the original cast, sitting in a corner of the last row of the balcony, having snagged a ticket an hour before curtain time. This time, we had fourth row center seats in the orchestra, courtesy of a friend with season tickets who sold them to me at face value when a scheduling conflict came up.
The show is still crazily brilliant, full of profanity and I-can't-believe- they-said-that moments. We laughed so hard!
The creators are Robert Lopez (who won Tony awards for both this and Avenue Q) and the South Park guys, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Lopez has apparently written the music for the new Disney animation picture, Frozen. Looking forward to hearing that one.
