Big Readers

I can't express just how thrilled I am that both boys love to read.  We just received a packet of "Froggy" books via Scholastic, and the micro dude steadily reads through them, out loud or in his head, going back to re-read the funniest parts to us again.

His big brother came across a graphic novel edition of the Red Pyramid (an Egyptian-themed series by the author of Percy Jackson,) and we both liked it, so I ordered the whole trilogy in novel form.

Now that pop culture writers all talk about binge-watching TV, I finally have vocabulary for the way I read (prior to having kids) and how Q-ster reads now.  Binge-reading!  It's an all-encompassing, all-consuming activity.  He started book 1 on Saturday morning, finished book 2, and was halfway through book 3 by Sunday night.  Yum.

So exciting! I used to be a binge reader, too. Not so much these days!
