French-Texanish?

Last weekend, I saw the loaf of thick Texas Toast at the grocery store, and immediately turned my mind to French toast, yum!  Fortunately, SwingDaddy was of like mind, and we had breakfast for dinner.

What do you call it when you use Texas toast to make French toast?  Is there some kind of Cajun equivalent?

Mmm...I've never made breakfast for dinner before. What a great idea!

well, the French of course don't call it French toast, they call it pain perdu, so maybe Pain perdu texan?

For some reason I thought Texas Toast came pre-loaded with garlic butter. Which could still be tasty in French toast form, just without the maple syrup.
