New York, the Library Edition

One of the famous lions outside the New York Public Library.

And his Lego incarnation, just inside the front door.

The original Winnie the Pooh with friends.  Tiny little Piglet!  There really is a pin holding Eyeore's tail in place.

In honor of Mercator's 500th birthday, one of his original atlases.

The library is a temple to learning.  I really wanted to sit down at one of those beautiful wooden tables and write.  Surely the prose would be classier than anything I could produce at a Starbucks!

You know, it might be twenty years since I've been inside that library.

Waayyy back in the day at my first job, basically before the internet (!!), we used to call the NYPL reference desk anytime we needed the answer to a random question. It was awesome.

Mayberry: no way! It must have been fun sitting at that desk.
