This One’s For My Dad

Billboard at the airport when I arrived in town on Sunday. The 2010 EuroVision song contest will be hosted here later this month!

As you may or may not recall, ABBA launched their international career by winning EuroVision with “Waterloo” many years ago, and Riverdance became a sensation as the intermission entertainment when Ireland hosted EuroVision 1994.

In other news, the boys were a little excited on the video chat this morning and I mostly talked to Buster’s forehead. Q-ster was a little more patient and I got to see his cute face.

I've heard tell of the wonders of Eurovision ... from the ladies of Go Fug Yourself. Sounds like a riot!

When I first saw Eurovision I immediately thought of ABBA. But I do wonder what did the French judge think when Waterloo started out "At Waterloo Napoleon did surrender".
Get to watch any of that on TV?

I love Eurovision ... it's a total train wreck of 'talent', but you just.can't.look.away.
