Eggo had a recall that created the shortage, but now they are using it to their advantage because now when people see Eggo's on the shelf they buy them up.
What I don't understand is why the organic brand that I usually buy no longer has a spot on the shelf. Nor does the store brand. I would much rather have those brands but am now forced to buy Eggo's.
And my son would survive on waffles, yogurt, bananas and milk if I would let him. For EVERY meal!

I so need to blog about this.

(But happy for you and your waffle procurement!)
I guess it may not have been a safety recall, but they shut down their own plants causing the shortage.
What I remember reading was that they had a flood in the plant, and they've had to retool the machinery.
You shouldn't announce that on the Internets! Someone might come and steal them!
It's so good to hear positive news like that, in these trying Eggo times!
Awesome! Yay for you!
