Too Tauntaun Good to be True

My sister's friend sent us a link to this excellent new ThinkGeek offering - a sleeping bag in the shape of a tauntaun, the creature Han Solo used to save Luke's life on the ice planet in Star Wars. Notice the intestinal pattern of the lining! I've found some delightfully fun items at ThinkGeek before (caffeinated soap, for example), so I clicked over right away.

Sadly this was on their front page, which certainly means that it's an April Fools' prank. SwingDaddy says that means we’ll just have to make our own.

Updated: Apparently, there has been such “an overwhelming tsunami of requests,” that they are going to contact Lucasfilm and see if they can actually get a license to have it made. Ha!

I was also delighted to see the April Fools set include a USB Pet Rock, an update to the Pet Rock that I had as a child. They got the carton exactly right – airholes to allow oxygen to flow freely and a nice soft padding . . . for the rock.

Oh, for sure, they have to make that! I haven't seen that scene in about 20 years, but it's so gross I remember it perfectly...

Having that lightsaber zipper handle make it great. I hope it has a switch that you can turn the light on and off.
That way the kid can sleep with the light off and when the kid wakes in the dark, he/she can turn the light on to see.

I am certain the sleeping bag will be the must-have item this Christmas. I can think of several people who would be thrilled to have a tauntaun bag of their very own.

They'd be foolish to not make a tauntaun sleeping bag! That's awesome.
