Not the Year in Summary

Once again, I’ve determined that the titles of my past posts tend to be more interesting than the posts themselves. Here are a few snapshots of 2008 – the first or second title of each month:

January: The Twenty Dollar Nap

February: The Little Dude Overcomes a Fear

March: Parents of Girls Will Never Believe Me

April: Iron Chef Q

May: Scrapbooking Flunk-out

June: Let This Marine Tell Ya Something

July: Why We Will Be Eating Chef Boyardee for the Next Four Days, Or Weird Side Effects of Emergency Preparedness

August: In Which I Re-Affirm My Mommyblogging Credentials

September: This Is What I Get For Being So Pleased With Myself

October: Jedi Kids

November: Octopus and Mom

December: How to Lose Weight Without Dieting or Going to the Gym

I expect that 2009 will have a lot more of October’s topic, and I definitely have a follow-up for May.

This month also brings the return of dance reality TV, in the form of a new show, Superstars of Dance, which sounds fabulous, and the third season of America’s Best Dance Crew. NBC is not being particularly clear on the schedule for Superstars. The website says “Monday nights,” although the premier is on a Sunday. Is it another two-nights per week show? I’m not sure I can handle that much television, but we all have to make sacrifices sometimes.

Those are great! I think titling posts is so much fun. (Provided you don't care about SEO.)

I sometimes have the hardest time titling posts and I'm so proud of myself when I come up with a good one. You're very good at it!
