Three Times Today and Lord Knows How Many Tomorrow

I would watch pretty much anything, even the Abomination-esque kiddie show, if it moves potty training along, but a new DVD arrival is stretching my limits.

The Company does its best to be family friendly and provides a selection of materials to parents, free of charge. I saw something called Potty Power, and figured that it wouldn't hurt to order it.

We watched it three times today, by Q-ster's request. Did he use the potty even once? No. We're holding out hope that there will eventually be results, because being subjected to the "Proud to Wear My Underwear" song and "No More Diapers for Me" song repeatedly is brutal, I tell you. I'm starting to have Stockhold Syndrome and think that the animated toilet paper roll is sort of charming. Or maybe he's just Charmin.

My daughter liked the Elmo potty DVD. We had her sit on the training potty while watching it.

But that poor Gordon was reduced to singing "Let's do it, let's use the potty!"

What worked for us was www.pottytrainingrewards.com

just getting caught up.... congrats on the article, the 6 month anniversary and the 17 minute rocking idea. I like that.

Dare I say it? We used that video with Ian, and it did squat. He just wasn't motivated. Sure he'd hum and sing the songs, but still pee everywhere but in a potty. Sigh. Hope it goes better for you. (And unfortunately, it's not helping with Laurel either.)

I have got to get some animated toilet paper. And my kids have been potty trained for YEARS.

LMAO.....Is it better or worse that I made up my own Potty songs?

You know what? I eventually hid the stupid Muppet Babies I Can Go Potty book though. I just could not read about the importance of flushing one more time....

Bear in the Big Blue House has an episode all about using the potty (being a 'toileteer'). We've watched it many times.

Charmin. Oh, dear. I admit to being a fan of the pun, but my dear, it's time to step away from the DVD slowly, and don't look back.
