Woven by Fairies

Using silk and gold dust, apparently.

This is a section of the itemized hospital bill from Buster's delivery.

And the associated prices.

$70 for diapers for a day and a half. Wow, it must be good to be Proctor and Gamble!

Update from yesterday: My pump is a Medela Pump In Style. More practice coming up.

Yikes, I hope that was all covered by insurance.

I was never had a great yield with pumping either with Andrew and since he never would take a bottle thankfully I didn't have to do it more than a handful of times. Good luck with that!

Yowsa! My hospital actually tells you to bring diapers, which I think I prefer to being charged a few times the cost. Ouch.

And if you have the Pump In Style, I'd suggest playing with the settings as to strength and frequency of suction, and you may just find the right combination for you making all the difference. good luck, again!

they charge you for the diapers?!?!

holy. socialized medicine has ruined me, apparently. our hospital sent us home from the NICU with an extra pack of diapers because it had been opened and one removed.

(and on the pumping...empathy. it took me a week to get the damn thing to work. wishing you luck.)

I had to do a double take, YIKES!

Wow. Want to know something to make it even more unbelievable? P&G pays the hospital to promote their diapers. So the hospital is technically getting paid twice for those diapers.

That is why the insurance system in this country is going to hell in a handbasket.
