Q discovered the joys of this classic party favor at a little friend's birthday party today. I had no idea what they were called, so I had to look it up. Did you know the little toy noisemakers were called blowouts?
Hey, that's the thing that my older son blew during our Rash Hashana dinner this past week. He found a rogue one leftover from his birthday party. I've always called them noise makers, but I have no idea where I got that from.
SwingDaddy got his hair lightened for the summer, and it's been growing out slowly (and looking remarkably good during the transition). We have hair appointments coming up, so we'll see what color he chooses next!

Oh fun, fun, fun! I always just called them noisemakers.
swingdaddy's hair looks darker again... or is it just me?
Certainly more fun than the diaper variety!
Swingdaddy's hair *does* look darker.

I did know they were called that but only because we ordered some for LG's party.
PS. I like SwingDaddy's dark hair. Haha! Who knew this would turn into a conversation about his hair?
Now, THAT'S some good trivia!
that's ... unfortunate.

How about auburn highlight for the fall? ;)
Great to see you guys at the party. Looking forward to seeing Q later today at school!
I did not know that! I always made a strange motion by my nouth to describe them, which may or may not look vaguely obscene.
